You'll be part of a supportive, skilled team with the flexibility to focus on what you do best.The OpportunityUnder the supervision of the Service Manager, the Shop Mechanic / Field Technician will troubleshoot and repair forestry and construction equipment, working both in the company shop and at various locations or work sites.What You'll Do<ul><li>Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair forestry and construction equipment using electronic diagnostic tools and calibration devices.</li><li>Test parts and systems to ensure proper functionality.</li><li>Follow checklists to ensure all critical parts are examined.</li><li>Test and lubricate the machine's engine and other major components.</li><li>Perform routine maintenance, including oil changes and tune-ups.</li><li>Use testing equipment to verify that repairs and maintenance are effective.</li><li>Overhaul and test machines or equipment to ensure operational efficiency.</li><li>Repair or replace worn parts.</li><li>Disassemble and reassemble components.</li><li>Make recommendations for future repairs or maintenance requirements.</li></ul>What We're Looking For<ul><li>High school diploma.</li><li>Completion of or enrollment in a Journeyman Mechanic Certification program.</li><li>Strong mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills.</li><li>Computer literacy for service documentation and diagnostics.</li><li>Millwright experience is an asset.</li><li>Positive, team-oriented attitude with strong communication skills.</li><li>Ability to manage shifting priorities and work independently.</li><li>Willingness to travel as required.</li><li>Availability to work 40+ hours per week.</li></ul>Why Join ALPA?At ALPA, we invest in our people.
